Engineering isn’t always about building things that you can see. In this case, it’s about taking something you can hear and using it to learn information that might not have been known before.
In the case of this video, scientists are turning light signals from distant stars into sound. By analyzing the sound quality, they can determine the star’s surface gravity as well as figure out which stage it is at in its evolution from dwarf to red giant.
Here at Fulghum MacIndoe, we believe in pushing ourselves to be better, to think bigger, to understand more than we did before. Engineering is powerful and we are excited to be working in this field, with so many other great folks doing amazing things!
You’ve probably heard the old adage “do as I say, not as I do.” There seems to be some confusion these days about what a person’s word actually means. Things are said loosely and action doesn’t always match up.
Here at Fulghum MacIndoe, we believe that a person’s word should count for something. We are committed to our clients as well as our projects.
When we say something, we mean it. When we say we’re going to do something, you can count on that. It gives our clients peace of mind because they can rely on our follow through. Trust is a valuable thing and we don’t take it lightly. You can trust us to do what we say we’ll do. Try us.
Most billboards have a singular purpose: to serve as outdoor advertising to promote a brand or business. This billboard in Peru has raised the bar, generating clean drinking water for families in this region where it is otherwise scarce.
This is the power of creative thinking and engineering! Talk about some feats of ninjaneering!
This clip comes to you via Ninjaneer Billy Fulghum on location at the Dowell Springs Proton Therapy Center.
Not only was this a huge undertaking to get the site prepared with grades, erosion control and architect coordination, there is a lot of land for future development.
This means we had to make sure the drainage that was in place would work for all future development too.
FMA integrated the master planning and design of the site and we are proud to be part of a project that will provide the latest in technological health care options for East Tennesseans battling cancer.
A ninjaneer’s work is never done…but that’s how we like it.
